Dopey's Intervention

 Snow White: Hi everyone, thank you for coming to this intervention today. As you all know, we are here because we love Dopey, and we are concerned about his addiction to Fentanyl. We have all noticed how it has been affecting his behavior and his relationships with us and others.


Doc: Yeah, we’ve all noticed it. It’s been really bad.


Happy: It’s like he’s not even the same dwarf anymore.


Grumpy: I’m not sure why we’re wasting our time with this. He’s just going to keep using no matter what we say.


Bashful: But we have to try. We can’t just give up on him.


Sleepy: That’s right. We need to do whatever it takes to help him get better.


Sneezy: And that’s why we’re all here today. We’re going to show him that we care and that we want him to get help.


Dopey: (interrupting) What’s going on? Why are you all here?


Snow White: Dopey, we’re here because we’re worried about you. We want to talk to you about your addiction to Fentanyl.


Dopey: (defensively) What addiction? I don’t have an addiction.


Snow White: Dopey, we’ve all seen how you’ve been acting lately. You’ve been using more and more, and it’s been affecting your life and our relationships with you.


Dopey: (angrily) You don’t know what you’re talking about. I can handle it. I’m in control.


Grumpy: (sarcastically) Oh yeah, you’re doing a great job of controlling it. Selling Snow White’s shoes to get more drugs. Real impressive.


Dopey: (defensively) I needed the money. It’s not like I’m hurting anyone.


Happy: (concerned) Dopey, that’s not true. You’re hurting yourself and everyone around you. We’re here because we care about you and we want to help.


Dopey: (frustrated) I don’t need your help. I’m fine.


Snow White: (firmly) Dopey, you’re not fine. You’re addicted to Fentanyl, and it’s destroying your life. We want to help you get better.


Dopey: (angrily) You don’t know what you’re talking about. I can quit anytime I want.


Bashful: (gently) Dopey, that’s not true. Addiction is a disease. It’s not something you can just quit by yourself.


Sleepy: (supportively) But we’re here for you, Dopey. We want to help you get the treatment you need.


Sneezy: (sincerely) We all care about you, Dopey. We just want to see you get better.


Doc: (authoritatively) And that’s why we’ve arranged for you to go to inpatient treatment at Michael Jackson’s Neverland resort.


Dopey: (disbelievingly) What? Are you kidding me? Michael Jackson’s Neverland resort?


Snow White: (calmly) Yes, Dopey. Michael Jackson’s estate has been transformed into a substance abuse treatment facility. It’s a safe and secure environment where you can get the help you need.


Dopey: (skeptically) And what makes you think I need that kind of help?


Grumpy: (harshly) Are you serious, Dopey? Look at yourself. You’re addicted to Fentanyl and you’re selling Snow White’s shoes to get more drugs. How much worse does it have to get before you realize you need help?
